Milow the Girl to Perform At the Montreux Jazz Festival

Swiss recording artist Milow the Girl announced today that she will be launching a series of exclusive dates starting with the Montreux Jazz festival on July 15th 2011. The performance which will take place at The Montreux Jazz Café and will be the world debut of songs from the singer/songwriter’s yet to be titled sophomore cd.

The new recording is the follow up to her critically acclaimed debut album “Days of Power” and is being produced by Award winning producer Robert Venable former Evanescence drummer and producer of Megadeth, Scott Stapp, INXS, You Hang Up (featuring Frankie Muniz), NBC (Saturday Night Live) and Fox (Glee). The recording was written and tracked in both Nashville, TN and Hollywood, California. “I am grateful that I was able to record my new album in an amazing place, the Dark Horse Studios, in Franklin Tennessee with award winning producer Robert Venable. The recording coincided with a very difficult moment in my life but I do believe the timing of this was absolutely perfect.” Says Milow the Girl

The performance marks the singers return to the world renowned festival. Milow the Girl states, “It is such a pleasure to come back to Montreux and perform at the Montreux jazz café. Singing in Switzerland is obviously always emotional for me.” Milow the Girl’s band line-up for the show consists of up and coming musicians as well as special guests such as producer and drummer Robert Venable and Parisian legendary guitarist Jacky Mascarel.

The singer has dedicated the last two years touring in support of her music, while also raising awareness and educating people on the horrors of puppy mills and other animal rights issues that are important to her. Her songs have been featured on hundreds of AAA radio stations in the United States, as well as featured spots on MTV international.
